✔ A store where you can post letters asking for an advice, even from the past
✔ Higashino is well known for his crime novels, but also for his focus on human drama
✔ Heart warming fantasy about human connection beyond time
★★★★☆ A store connected to the community's past and future through letters. Though Higashino is well known for his clever crime novels, this is more a fantasy, and he does it well, as always.
🔽 Book review and notes 🔽
3 men run away and hide in a closed store, a store connected to the community's past and future through letters.
Maybe this is the first Higashino book I read that didn't solve murders with logical yet clever tricks.
There is no logical explanations here, the story is based around miracles and still feels real.
Of course his fans love his crime novels with thrilling stories but he is also known to depicts human relationship and small storms within our lives, so even though this book is more a fantasy, it's still very Higashino.
